1. Information We Collect

Personal Data You Provide:

• Name, phone number, and email address
• Home address, service requirements, project descriptions, photos, and how you heard about us
• Communication records from SMS and email, along with the client, request, and note records created for your project in Jobber, the field-service platform Dan runs the business on
• Marketing preferences and newsletter enrollment

Automatic Data Collection: Our public pages load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and move through the site. We do not run a Meta (Facebook) pixel, and we do not load a Google Ads remarketing or conversion tag on this site.

Conversion Reporting: When you submit the estimate form, our server — not your browser — reports one conversion event to Google Analytics recording that an estimate request was made. It is tied to the visitor identifier in your Google Analytics cookie — or to a randomly generated one-time identifier if that cookie is not present — and to your Google Analytics session identifier when one is available. The event carries the page you submitted from and three yes/no flags: whether you gave an address, whether you attached photos, and whether you consented to text messages. Your name, email address, phone number, street address, and the text of your message are not included.

IP Address: Our server reads the IP address your form submission arrives from. We do not store it. We store a salted, shortened SHA-256 hash of it instead, and use that hash to cap how many submissions can come from one source in an hour. It cannot be turned back into your IP address without the secret salt, but it stays the same for the same address, so we treat it as information about you rather than as anonymous data. We also store the browser user-agent string your submission arrives with.

Bot Protection: The estimate form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile loads a script from Cloudflare that evaluates signals from your browser to judge whether a submission is automated. When we check the result, we send Cloudflare the token the widget produced together with your IP address.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide carpentry estimates, deliver services, communicate about your project, send appointment reminders, process billing, distribute newsletters, and measure advertising campaign performance.

3. SMS & Mobile Privacy

We do not use SMS for mass marketing, blast campaigns, or promotional offers. Text messaging is transactional only — related to your project estimates, scheduling, and updates. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who assist in operating our business, and only under strict confidentiality obligations. Those providers are:

• Jobber — the field-service platform Dan works from. A submitted estimate request creates a client, a request, and a note there containing your name, email address, phone number and text-message preference, project address, project description, how you heard about us, and links to any photos you attached.
• Supabase — hosts the database that records your submission and the storage that holds any photos you upload.
• Google Analytics — receives the site usage and conversion data described in Section 1.
• Cloudflare — receives the Turnstile bot-check token and your IP address when you submit the form.

5. Data Security

We protect your information through SSL encryption on our website and by utilizing secure, industry-standard software for customer data management.

6. Your Rights & Choices

This site sets two kinds of cookies:

• Google Analytics cookies(“_ga” and a second cookie named for our analytics stream) — set by Google Analytics so a returning browser is recognized and page views can be grouped into a session.
• “mp_click” — set only if you reach the site from a Google ad, and only the first time. It holds the click identifier Google attached to that link (gclid, wbraid, or gbraid) so we can tell which ad led to an estimate request, and it is saved alongside your submission if you send one. It lasts 90 days, is readable only by our server and not by JavaScript in your browser, and is never sent to other websites.

Your choices:

• Unsubscribe from newsletters via the link in any email
• Opt out of text messages by replying “STOP”
• Clear or block these cookies in your browser settings at any time
